UFC Free Betting Pick: Bobby Moffett vs. Enrique Barzola

UFC Free Pick: Bobby Moffett vs. Enrique Barzola

#24022 Enrique Barzola -135 (Saturday, August @ 8:05 EST)

Two fighters coming off of losses look to rebound on Saturday in Uruguay as Enrique Barzola (15-4-1) takes Bobby Moffett (14-4). For Barzola this will be his eighth UFC fight; 5-2 in the organization.  Moffett on the other end is only (1-1) but also has a win on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series.  Barzola is 30 years old and has a 70-inch reach and the bigger Moffett is 29 years old with a 74-inch reach. Barzola will have the advantage in terms of travel and home country advantage.  Enrique is a South American fighter and had a relatively short travel from Peru to Uruguay compared to Moffett who trains out of suburban Chicago. This will also mark Moffett’s first time fighting outside of the U.S.

I think Barzola is the better of the two strikers and has more endurance and cardio.  Barzola trains out of American Top Team in Florida but spent time this camp training at American Kickboxing Academy.  That’s the same gym where Daniel Cormier and Khabib Nurmagomedov train out of in California.  Both gyms are world class and the advantages go to Barzola in terms of gym and training quality.  The South American fighter has a good ground game and I think can maintain enough control to outwork Moffett for three rounds.  I think the original opener of -190 well represented Barzola’s edges. I give him a 60-65% chance to win the fight which means -135 offers decent value.
