MLB Betting: Oddsmakers Peg Padres, White Sox, and Angels for Biggest Improvement

MLB

With spring training officially underway, it’s time to start prepping for the upcoming MLB season. The futures market is starting to mature with regular season win totals available at most sportsbooks. Every season, a handful of teams are pegged to perform far differently than they did the season prior. Based on this year’s win totals, three teams (Padres, White Sox, and Angels) are projected to improve by double-digits. Houston is expected to endure the league’s biggest regression at -12.5 wins though the Astros are still lined at a healthy 94.5 wins and priced north of -200 to win the American League West. In terms of divisions, the National League East is expected to be the most competitive with four teams slated to finish above .500 and oddsmakers calling for a 7.5-win improvement from doormat Miami. The National League Central is also calling for four above .500 teams.
